1. Amicus is not a law firm
Amicus is a matching platform, not a legal practitioner or law firm. It does not provide legal advice, representation, legal opinions or case strategy. Nothing published on this website should be treated as a substitute for advice from a qualified advocate who has considered the facts of your matter.
2. No advocate–client relationship
Browsing a profile, clicking a call or WhatsApp button, or sending an initial enquiry does not by itself create an advocate–client relationship. Any engagement is formed directly between you and the advocate or law firm after they have completed any required conflict checks and accepted the instruction on agreed terms.
3. Profile information
Profiles may contain information supplied by an advocate or firm, or compiled from professional websites, court records, the Kenya Gazette, Kenya Law and other identified sources. Amicus aims to distinguish source-backed information from demonstrations and unverified claims, but users should independently confirm qualifications, practising status, availability, fees and suitability before instructing counsel.
4. No guarantee or endorsement
Listing, ordering, featuring or describing a practitioner does not guarantee a result and should not be read as a certification of specialisation unless the page expressly identifies a recognised credential and its source. Past appearances, reported matters and professional experience do not predict the outcome of a future case.
5. Direct communications and third-party services
Telephone, WhatsApp, firm websites, Kenya Law and other external links are operated by third parties. Their availability, privacy practices and content are outside Amicus’s control. Do not send confidential or time-sensitive information until the intended advocate has confirmed how it should be received.
6. Corrections
Advocates and firms may request a correction, update or fuller linked profile through the Amicus for Firms portal. Amicus may amend, qualify or remove information when credible evidence shows that it is inaccurate, outdated or misleading.
