A source-backed profile is compiled from one or more identified professional or public records. These may include an official firm biography, the Kenya Gazette, Kenya Law decisions, Law Society information, professional publications or details supplied and confirmed by the practitioner.
2. Sample profiles
Fictional demonstrations are labelled as sample profiles and exist only to show the intended directory structure. They are excluded from search-engine indexing and from the XML sitemap. Their illustrative cases, fees and contact details must not be attributed to a real practitioner.
3. Cases and representative matters
Reported decisions should link to Kenya Law or another authoritative record where available. An appearance in a matter identifies professional participation; it does not imply that the practitioner was responsible for every argument or outcome. Confidential matters should be described only at a level that protects client information.
4. Qualifications, admission and contact details
Admission years, LSK numbers, credentials, firm roles, telephone numbers and practice descriptions are presented with the strongest available source. Users should confirm current practising status, availability and engagement terms directly before relying on a profile.
5. Featuring, membership and ranking
Commercial membership or featured placement may affect presentation or visibility, but it does not convert an unsupported claim into a verified one. Any peer-review ranking must follow its published eligibility and voting rules and remains distinct from payment for presentation services.
6. Corrections and right of response
Practitioners and firms may submit supporting material, propose corrections or request a linked practice profile through the Amicus for Firms portal. Material may be qualified or removed where a credible correction cannot be reconciled with the published source.
